Jay is LexInvest's founder and CEO. Jay obtained his PhD from Princeton University's Politics Department, where his research focused on the political drivers of host countries' foreign investment legislation. LexInvest was born from the challenges Jay encountered in finding systematic, reliable sources of foreign investment legislation (both current and historical). Prior to completing his PhD, Jay completed a M.A. in International Relations at the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Individualized Study at NYU's Gallatin School. He has consulted for a variety of well-known non-profits and think tanks in the development and political risk space. Jay resides in Brooklyn, New York.

Fran Melville is LexInvest's Chief Operating Officer. Fran previously served as CFO at GeoQuant, a political risk startup that was subsequently acquired by Fitch Group, and has held a variety of positions in the financial services industry.
